iPhone via SMS hackable! – iOS 9.3.5 released – closes vulnerability.

Apple releases iOS 9.3.5 which is from now on available for 44 devices as ‘over the air update’ or as iTunes Download receivable.

This update is very important. Because of an enormous hole was found in iOS. It could be even one of the worst ever. Only with one click on a link; it should jailbreak the device remotely. Followed by installing malware. Which may cause fatal consequences, especially when this gap gets in to the malicious hands.

iOS 9.3.4 Released – possible Jailbreak?

iOS 9.3.4 Released – possible Jailbreak?

Apple distributed iOS 9.3.4 shortly after the release of the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak by Pangu.

There was no real statement about this update. But it looks like the only reason for this update could be a fix of the gap, which is exploited for the jailbreak. Thats why, the currently public jailbreak of the Pangu team is only compatible with iOS 9.2 to iOS 9.3.3.

Is the jailbreak still possible?

The Pangu team has already now released the new jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 down to 9.2, outside the Asian area.

It is currently available on their website with download and instructions.  This is a “semi-tethered” jailbreak. This means that after each restart of the device the jailbreak must be reinitialized again with the Pangu app. During the jailbreak a necessary certificate is issued for the Pangu app.

Apple published iOS 9.3.3 and it is from now on available for 44 devices as ‘over the air update’ or as iTunes Download receivable.

This Update includes mainly several miner bugfixes and performance enhancement. That means there aren’t really noticeable facile changes. It took overall 5 Beta versions until the final public release could be rolled out. Besides that iOS 9.3.3 is coincidentally the ninth version of iOS 9 but also simultaneously the last one. Because iOS 10 ist going to follow and this relatively soon, with many new features and enhancements. –>

iOS 10 Jailbreak presented by Pangu – iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak – A matter of time!

The Pangu Team officially presented a jailbreak for iOS 10 on July 1, at the MOSEC 2016 Mobile Security Conference in Shanghai, China

As the name of the conference already suggests, it is a general security conference for mobile devices. The guests of the audience included the FBI coming from America, as well as understandably staff from Apple itself among others. Both parties are of course also interested in those security discussions. Even though there are not cooperating interests. The FBI, as echoed through the media, had a difference with Apple regarding the opening of encrypted iOS devices. Since Apple has successfully made themselves open to the public media and law, the FBI has to obviously rely on unconventional methods. Apple itself wants instead to naturally take advantage and close vulnerabilities. –>

Signing for iOS 9.3.1 has stopped!

Signing for iOS 9.3.1 has stopped!

The signing for iOS 9.3.1 for all iPhones,iPads,iPods got stopped by Apple!
This means that updating to iOS 9.3.1 is not possible anymore nor you can’t downgrade to older versions! In principle this won’t likely be relevant for any jailbreak interested parties. Because the Pangu had his attention mostly one iOS 9.3.3 and iOS 10 and they even have already presented a working Jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 at the MOSEC – security conference.

He accomplish to to plant Cydia and install it. In his tweet he writes that everything went flawless and without any crashes. What the Question is know, if this is only for now. Or will this Jailbreak and Cydia going to work together with the final release of iOS 10.

Apple released iOS 9.3.3 Beta 5

Apple has just released the beta version 5 of iOS 9.3.3 for all Beta testers and Developers. No explicit features are mentioned with the new beta version.

We can therefore assume that it is primarily about bug fixes and performance ameliorations. Anyone who is interested in the Beta can voluntarily sign up with the beta program on their site. In this beta, bugs or other problems can be reported to Apple via the “feedback Wizard”. It is exciting to find out whether the gaps of the previous 9.3.3 betas found by the Taig team remain open. This would probably be the case, because they are extra patient and efficient with their exploit collections, since the team thinks ahead especially on iOS 10.
